If you watched the recent Flight Plan episode, you saw the part where Vance was reviewing some player’s tape from whom we signed on free agency. All the players he reviewed he said will be starters next season.

Inside Linebacker: Jordan Hicks, one of the better linebackers in the NFL when healthy, and Haason Reddick, who is pretty terrible but still on a contract.

Free Safety: DJ Swearinger, I know a lot of you guys were going off on how DJ can’t play FS and is a true SS, Joesph said that he would be the starting FS and Budda Baker the starting SS.

Cornerback: Robert Alford, old and regressing IMO, I think his replacement will come sooner rather than later, but probably not in this draft, so Alford starts this season and Patrick Peterson

(Extension of the earlier post) is here to stay for a while.

3-4 DE: Corey Peters, aging will likely retire soon, his placement will probably come this draft and no, I don’t it’s Quinnen Williams or Oliver and I’ll show you later why. Darius Philon: Maybe the best signing of our free agency, He’ll probably start at 3-4 DE

Corey was and is our starting NT in a 3-4 and he has another season on his contract, which is quite affordable.

He never was.

D-end his first year in a 3-4 and a DT in last year's 4-3.

I take it you're new to this team?)
I’ve been a fan my whole life but only really got into the Cardinals after this last season, so yea, I’m pretty new

Nkdemiche never played NT a down in his life. He is a DE/DT tweener who was intended to be Dockett's replacement.

And did Vance Joseph really say that he wanted Budda Baker to be SS and Swearinger to be FS? What kind of backward ass crap is that? That's the weird kind of thinking that got this team's defense to be so pedestrian even with great talent. Let's have our SS and OLB play our inside positons, lets have our mini safety play SS, and have the heat seeking missile SS play distant center field.

Positions we won't draft: none. We could upgrade every position on the field. I don't think we're looking to replace Baker, Peterson, Jones, Johnson, Kirk, but the rooms around them need help. Larry won't be around long, Rosen is TBD.

He said they were both capable of playing either positions in certain situations.

If you read the message you would know that I was only talking about positions discussed in flight plan

Wait. I’ve got to know. What about last year’s team made you say “yup, that’s the team for me”???

He with no additions, the defense can be pretty good. We do need one more DE at least, but that could be added after the draft as well.

@cardsfanmd you know you posted the same post twice and I hated last season just like everybody else, this last season is what got really into the Cardinals anyway

I think there isn't a position other than specialists that can't use depth or an infusion of young talent. Other than Hicks and Reddick there are no other proven ILB's on the roster, competition for Alford and slot CB could be used (I would take 2 CB's in later rounds like Jordan Miller and Michael Jackson), definitely need another swing OT because Humphries and Gilbert have advance reservations for injury report this season. Those are just the positions some may feel we filled in FA but they are mistaken on top of obvious needs at WR and depth on DL and I could see ARZ surprising taking another RB even though they have DJ, Logan and the kid they took last year (forgot his name).
