Buff Fumble starting at QB for the Skins. Peterson makes a bonehead call on 4th and goal from the 2. Banged up offensive line so he slams Adams up the middle for a loss. You have one of the best tight ends in the league, who wasn't even in on the play, and you think you were going to fool Washington by rushing. Dumb.

Actually, Sanchez is in for an injured McCoy, not starting. Pederson not Peterson, but Peterson had the longest run of his career. 90 yards at 33 years old. Dude's pretty amazing.

Redskins deserve a lot of credit for even being in this game right now. LOT of injuries all through that lineup.

I say this with confidence that Witten is one of the worst commentators I ever heard
Just a tad preachy on top of really boring. I absolutely HATE the MNF crew and production. If I could get a real time video feed I'd definitely have the Westwood 1 radio broadcast with Warner going for audio.

I was hoping Warner would get the MNF gig when it was down to him and Witten but ESPN is just so awful in so many ways, I'm glad he didn't.

Both of these Redskins RB's need to get North and South instead of dancing around. I don't know why they keep abandoning the straight forward playcalling. Run it and get what you can and keep 2nd and 3rd down manageable. Granted, Sanchez isn't on the same page with his receivers so it doesn't really matter overall but I really question the playcalling by Gruden. The risk/reward of trying all of this gimmicky stuff with a QB who's only been there less than 2 weeks and not getting first string reps is just a bad approach.

Sanchez has a dubious reputation but he can play at a high level if managed correctly. Asking him to go razzle-dazzle isn't correct IMO.

Although they're down 15 with 4 minutes left, he's checking down one play after another.

But isn't that after the tried that weird pitch play that didn't fool anyone and the quick screen WR throwback across the field? Philly has been demonstrating all night that they are being disciplined and aren't going for the misdirection and fakes. Seems to me they should be pounding the running game and trying to open up some play action. Sanchez has enough arm to threaten a passing game but he can't be asked to do too much. And that's my regular situation analysis, tonight he really doesn't have a chance.

Iggles pull it out and because they decided to take knees with 2 minutes left instead of giving it to Adams, I lose my fantasy game by .4 points.

I don't think Sanchez tries a pass down field all game.

Sure he did. I know he took a shot in the back left corner of the end zone and there were others. He wasn't super aggressive but like I said, asking him to drop back and throw from an empty backfield would be pretty risky. Get those RB's involved and keep things manageable and hope play action becomes effective. Sanchez can lead a strong running team with a good defense.

More bad news on the injury front for the Redskins:

Doctors are fearing the worst with Mark Sanchez, that he's perfectly healthy and will be able to start for them next week against the Giants. What a nightmare.
I see what you did there...that's clever, but it's a true statement if there ever was one. Washington have too many injuries and I always thought they were not a playoff team. but since they are in that division they need a lot of luck, but they are still within striking distance. eagles are back if they beat dallas this weekend.

regarding the rest of the thread comments here about the MNF television crew. they are terrible. by far the worst I've heard in a long time.
