Rewatched Dallas games and Dez is still elite. He got space and made catches in close space.
If you do t like him you have t rewatched their games.
They were in a run 1st and 2nd offense and he balled out.
Put him with Fitz and the new crew and get some popcorn
Again I watched the games again and focused on him...he’s damn good.
If the money is right
Go for it
He’s not elite & a proven team cancer!!!

When the focus of the offense isn’t going thru Dez he’s a POS in the ultimate team game!!! Pass big time

Dez is gunning for a spot with the Giants. The rest of the list seems to be assorted has-beens. Best option on the list looks to be Marshall.

New offensive system and 3 new QB's makes competition for WR wide open.

We don't know who'll adjust to the new playbook, who'll fit in with the new offense, what role each receiver will play and who'll develop the best WR-QB chemistry.

What I'm hoping for are guys who can catch most of the balls thrown their way and get open (separating out of cuts/beating his man deep) within the context of their assigned roles.

Goal: One burner, one possession guy, one route guy and one beast - 2 deep with some overlapping roles. Don't care much whether these guys are newbies, roster players or outside FA's - just looking for enough guys to step up. It's early.

Id sign Dez in a heartbeat for 1 year and performance Laiden contract. You can also put stipulations in it. Make it fool proof. But dude is a beast and gives us credibility with him and Fitz.

Go watch the games and see with your own eyes befor just spouting stats.
Passes dropped were throws by Dak at 100mph at 7 yards where the route was well beyond its set time. Where Dez extended the play on his own and got a flash of open...he had to dive at the fastball.
Look again
I’d love for the Cards to get him

I did, and what I saw was a guy who was stuck to DBs like Velcro.

Prescott completed 63% of his passes last season, so someone is catching his balls at an acceptable rate. It’s not Dez.

I also like my WRs with as little baggage as possible, and he has arguably the most of anyone in this league.

Hard pass.

You mean the guy that led his team in catches and receptions sucks....yea okay
you didn't watch the tape or you need new glasses
if in your words "Dez was stuck to DB's like Velcro" How were the other WR's?...seeing Dez led the team in every statistical category that matters....Catches, Yards and TD's.
They must be the clevenland browns of wr's

Just because your stat book shows 'drops' means very little. Look at the passes 'dropped' they were Dez throwing at 100mph at the ground where Dez had to dive 23/24 times....and it was DEZ who got open when the orig route was done and Dak was extending the play and running around....yea DEZ got open not the other guys.

Dez can play....watch the tape...or we'll have to agree to disagree...

I'd love to see Fitz and Dez lined up with Christian Kirk ....BOOM!

Would love Maclin and be fine with Decker

Maclin was cut by the Ravens - who have gone on to get 4 new WR, Crabtree, John Brown, Willie Snead, and drafted Lasley - and have offered a contract to DEZ. That is a GIGANTIC Hint Maclin and their entire WR room from last year sucked.

Maclin is the one on the list I am the most sure has nothing left.

on the surface that appears true. but over the past couple seasons Joe Flacco has had the lowest YP/A in the entire nfl... he has become captain checkdown...

I cant say for certain if it is Joe,..or if his WR's really just were not getting open downfield...I dont watch enough Ravens ball to be sure.

but the Ravens spent a first round pick on a QB. They even traded back into the first to get him.

might not be a WR issue

I'm still supportive of Dez Bryant, but no one else on this list inspires me, unless Maclin or Decker come in at practically the minimum.

Actually, I guess I'd be alright with Inman at this point too.

With those same "100mph fastballs", Jason Witten caught 72% of them, Terrance Williams 68%, and our newest acquisition, Brice Butler, 65%.

Catching 52% of balls from a guy completing 63% of his attempts and being T-5th in drops is not an indicator of success for a wideout.

Marginalize my stats all you want, but the results for your WR1 don't exactly match with the production on which you're trying to sell me.

Perhaps, but the rest of the guys available also have caveats. Baltimore was able to cut him with no dead money charged to the cap.

We're signing guys to be WR2/3 and by no means is anyone on that list a long-term answer. We could do much worse than Maclin as a one-year rental.

I think the biggest reason to not sign Dez is Brice Butler...He signed with the Cards to get away from Dez and make a name for himself and prove he can be a starting WR in the NFL.
Brice Butler is not a determining factor in any sort of roster decision, nor should he be.

Eli Rogers of course, just because of his last name. I mean we must be related in some fashion. I might have to retire my "Griz" #99 jersey and make my first ever offensive player jersey purchase. :bhiich::hijack::nospam::offtopic:

I hate the idea of signing old washed up receivers. Rarely does it work out.
I mean, at this point, a guy who is capable of putting up 60 catches for 600 yards is an upgrade to most of the roster outside of Larry though. Depending on Kirk, of course, but what can we really expect from a rookie WR?

Quan was amazing his rookie year, no doubt. But not everyone is Anquan. Larry didn't eclipse 800 yards and he's the greatest WR of all time for this team.

It's just looking at the stats realistically.
