All this woe is me, he said she said, 98 pages of proclamations about what WILL happen. People are dirty in all walks of life. I get paying kids. I get not paying kids. The world ain’t black or white. We all wear rose colored glasses from time to time. I’ve just learned to not come here or many others places spouting off about stuff I don’t fully understand or know.

You might know this, you might know that, but no one knows it ALL.

Clif, no offense, but based on what you just laid out there should be no ASFN or even any reason for any human discourse other than purely fact-based and directive conversations. Because what you say applies to literally every human being and every topic in the universe.

Couple of guys on BRO who are big donors and claim to know what's going on at ARizona said this.

The School wants to fire Miller and their first offer to him was essentially you walk away, we'll let you resign, you don't get a huge buyout. Miller said no chance of that happening. then the 3 biggest UA donors, including Artie Moreno(?) spoke up and said we are NOT ponying up money for a buyout we want to keep Miller we think he's innocent.

So there's a Board of Regents meeting today and they're still in a pickle they think they need to fire him to be able to move the program forward, but it could get sticky with lawyers because Miller is apparently not going to negotiate on the buyout and the boosters who put up a big part of his contract, are refusing to put it up to buy him out.

Most still think he's gone but one guy said he hears it's entirely possible Miller survives "until proof comes out."

Yeah it’s because it’s all conjecture until we have any solid proof but people like to frame their conjecture as better than others conjecture at times. Happens in all boards in all debates where there’s no “truth” yet known.

My point was that the fact that he stays seems to be a given. Until there is actual evidence. He stays.

Agreed but for different reasons. It appears right now that ARizona believes Miller on this latest story, the ESPN one.

It puts them in an awkward position, and puts others in one too, just yesterday I told a UCLA friend I didn't really want Shareef O'Neal and one of my concerns was a Solo Hill situation where as soon as the coaching situation is clear at Arizona, he decommits from UCLA and goes back to UA, in the meantime UCLA lost Jordan Brown when they took Shareef's commit. Clearly Shareef committed to UCLA because he thought Miller was getting fired.

this story is bizarre now, ESPN is still insisting they stand behind their story. If you saw Millers statement he started to deny ever talking to or meeting Christian Dawkins, and then said "until after Deandre publicly announced he was coming to our school." That actually fits the revised ESPN timeline and contradicts one of the statements that had been out there, that not only did Ayton not know Dawkins, but Miller didn't either until much later.

At this point I'm starting to think ESPN must have made at least one large mistake(wrong kid or something) because Miller is so adamant here he's literally banking his entire career on this now. If he's lying, he'll never coach in college again.

Now being reported that Miller agreed to a renegotiated contract that has a much more favorable buyout for Arizona. In effect saying I'm not lying, and to prove it I'm making it much easier for you to buy me out if you decide I AM lying.

Also starting to really believe ESPN got the player wrong. Miller said he never talked to Dawkins until after Ayton committed, that fits the timeline. But Miller also said he did one time have the subject of paying for a player get raised, he didn't pay him and the kid didn't pick Arizona, that fits Bowen.

Miller all but admitted to Dawkins calling him about Bowen but is saying he didn't agree to the payment.

So while technically ESPN was right in that Miller discussed a $100k payment for a prospect, ESPN got the player wrong and implied said payment led to a commitment which also seems to be wrong. All around cluster.
