Forgotten play in this game that I consider the turning point. Jags up 14-3 with a little over 2 minutes left in the half. 3rd and 7 game clock winding down. Bortles calling for the ball and gets it 1 second late and passes for an apparent 1st down but they're flagged for delay of game. Makes it 3rd and 12, Bortles is sacked and they punt. Brady leads NE down field with the help of 2 huge penalties and the Pats score to make the game 14-10 at the half. So, what could have been JAX up by maybe 21-3 or 17-3 gives all the momentum to NE. It was all NE after that delay of game.

Yup. And again, that’s almost NEVER called since the ref’s. eyes can’t be in two places at once (on clock and the center). Plus, the flag was thrown late. The league seems to have done everything it could to assist NE this season. As if it doesn’t have enough of an image problem. Still, the moment (i.e. the championship game) appeared too big for the Jags.

Both QBs regressed exponentially under Fisher. I was high in both coming out of their drafts. I don’t think either are long-term answers, but they would be top-tier QB2s.

I notice a trend. If a team wins an emotional game the week before in the playoffs, the following game they're whomped. Happened to us in 2009 and 2015,

That is pretty sick. And unbelievable. And unfair!

The only other team in my lifetime with this kind of track record was the UCLA in the 60's and 70's.

The Jags might want to take a good look at how Peterson handled the end of the first half. Jags had nearly a minute left and 2 timeouts and decided to take a knee. Eagles had like 38 seconds left and 3 timeouts and drove down field and got a FG.

Oh, and the vaunted Vikings defense has been torched for TD of 53 and 41 yards.
