I'm proud of him, I felt like he did all you can expect out of your backup..... He missed on some deep balls... But he had several catchable balls dropped IMO.

He's gone to his second read more times in the last two games, then I can recall in all his previous snaps as a Card.

The play-calling remains atrocious.... We finally run a good screen, then abandon it??
The Wilson "chuck and duck" was the game changer IMO... I really thought it would be a pick when he released it. :/

Don't let the drops fool you, Stanton left lots of yardage on the field tonight before that point. His career 55% career completion says he's not very good.

He was awful. Terrible accuracy. Not in every case but the guys look like they are worried they are going to die trying to catch balls over the middle. Post game show Wofley was saying some garbage about how the Cardinals have to do this and that because of Stanton, run Peterson a million times ect....but that Stanton is such a tough guy or whatever. How about you put Gabbert in, throw the damn ball, and see what he has? Can't be worse. Absolutely cannot be worse than Drew. That was painful to watch.

One of the best backs in NFL history fumbling from midfield on the very first play from scrimmage doesn't exactly help a back up QB. That play set the tone.

I concur... I am the biggest Stanton hater and wanted him gone for the last few years, if nothing else because he was not the future, he could not carry us through a season if CP got hurt (which was always quite probable given his age and history) and his space on the roster was costing us the opportunity to find our next QB.

Stanton normally plays terrible like he did in London, but these 2 starts I would say have not been a big drop off from CP's play this year. That isn't saying much since CP has played pretty poor more often than not, but Stanton is playing above my expectations. Does this mean he will be able to get us to the playoffs, no way, but we have enough life that there is a sliver of hope that we could win a game here and there.

Still, this doesn't change anything. BA screwed us by not planning ahead knowing CP was going to be retiring and injury prone. We should had a young QB in grooming on the bench since the 2015 season, if not sooner. No excuse for that, but from BA's perspective it wasn't going to be his problem by then so he would run the org like a charity for his friends people.

BA is loving that Stanton didn't totally crap the bed instead of having the goal to have a QB that plays lights out. Why you ask? BA is 100% comfortable with mediocrity and will accept it. He has a commitment to mediocrity because he has commitment to players and staff that are mediocre instead of having a commitment to winning and doing the best. If you can't see that by now you must not be paying attention all these years.

I can't wait for this season to be over and enjoy the process of rebuilding with new life. It might not be pretty but we'll be able to look forward to the future. Right now we're living in the past and there is nothing to hope for with BA and team going forward.

Do they have a stat for how many plays that could be passes become vanilla run plays because we don't want our QB to pass a lot? How about a stat for how many pass plays that should go down field turn into dink and dunk plays instead because the QB can't make plays down field? Can't win consistently with the guy. They beat a winless team with Stanton. WINLESS. That's about all he has. Seattle handed this game over but we literally could not take it

Stanton gives the team 110% every time he's on the field and I commend him for that. But he's too innacurate to be an NFL quarterback.

I'm not saying he's our future, but this loss is not on him. Several players caused this loss and I don't think Stanton was one of them. Could he have won it if he didn't over throw a few deep balls, hell yea, but he didn't lose this game.

Evaluating his performances are irrelevant and a waste of time. Yes the receivers were absolute crap but Stanton is what he is and it's the same thing every week.

Those and the bonehead Kerwynn Williams catching the ball inside the 5 twice, we just made it too easy for them.

I'm nowhere near wanting him to be our QBOTF, but he exceeded my expectations tonight, but alas..... I had the bar set pretty low.

Having a future HOF RB drop the rock.... And then Ellington fumble without contact didn't help matters.

Stantons throws were either to high or to low at the feet of his recievers. Other throws were good but a few were also nicely defended because of the placement of where DS puts the ball. Too many were into double coverage. He's lucky he wasnt picked multi times last night.

Maybe some of the drops were because Stanton is erratic, the receivers were caught off guard that they didn't have to jumo or dive.

It still doesn’t take away from the fact that Stanton missed some guys really badly. Hell he threw one deep ball 10 yards out of bounds. He is very inconsistent and at times flat out terrible. We’ve seen this for years and yet somehow he is still on this roster. This is borderline criminal.

I disagree 100%. Yes Stanton had a few bad balls. However as a second string QB he did everything you need from your backup. He protected the ball and gave the team a chance to win. I have zero problems with how Stanton played last night. He wasn't the reason the team lost.
