Ridiculous. 4.5M a year? I would have paid him in a heartbeat. Instead we are signing old vets... (Bethea, Dansby) what the heck?

Not surprised, it sounded like all along that the Cards were never interested in keeping DJ or Minter. Why? I have no idea. DJ was solid.

Would have liked to have had Swearinger and Jefferson back but not for the crazy money being thrown around out there today.

Not going to freak out over it. Safeties are a dime a dozen. Can easily be replaced IMO.

Totally agree, a good CB to pair with Peterson is more important.

Are we targeting a Safety now in the 1st rd? Does Buc still remember how to play the position?

Bethea: old
Branch: old/injury prone
TM: injury prone/slot CB
Harlan Miller...?

our starters are Bathea 33 years old and Branch 31
Our starters are Honey Badger & Bethea, with Branch & Harlan Miller as backups. HB will slide over to slot corner in nickel & dime packages & Branch will move into SS or maybe FS depending on what Bethea is playing. Miller will probably be the emergency backup S & CB that rarely plays.

I would expect a cheaper veteran CB signing to compete with Bethel & Brandon Williams at #2 CB & probably another CB drafted (hopefully in one of the 1st 3 rounds).

We could always slide Bucannon back to safety in nickel & dime packages & have Sio Moore & Karlos Dansby (assuming he signs) at the ILB spots.

As much as I liked both Tony Jefferson & DJ Swearinger, I think we'll be ok next year.

You can't lose top talent to free agency unless your roster wasn't loaded with talented players in the first place

If we could have got him back at what Washington offered, I'd done it pronto. We whiffed on that deal.:computer:
