Steve and BB mentioned that, from game to game, Cahill doesn't know what his best pitch is going to be.

He is on a roll and deserves credit for it, but I wonder how that will affect his long term efficiency.

Trade him now because he will probably gain 25 pounds over the winter.

What's gotten into Trevor Cahill???!!?!? (3-2-1-2-1, yes I guess I got that right. :))

I had mentioned in a previous post that I heard D-backs pitching coach Mike Harkey say in a TV interview that he was afraid to give any advice to Brandon McCarthy all season because of his own inexperience as pitching coach.

He got paid to do a job, and tied up an important position, that he was unqualified (or afraid) to do.

Or, I guess you could say, seeing the success of McCarthy since he went to the Yankees, that they have a real pitching coach.

The help Harkey has given Trevor Cahill is long past due.

I certainly hope that Gibson and his incompetent coaching staff (bench, pitching, batting) is shown the door at the end of the season.

A pitching coach afraid to give advice to his pitchers. Pathetic!

But you can bet Cahill didnt shake off his catcher as much! And you can really tell too, when Cahill's head moves his jowls flap all over.

Who cares? Bauer has so much more upside and look at how much Cahill makes compared to Trevor. Btw, the Diamondbacks front office has everyone believing all these guys they got rid of were cancers. Maybe the FO guys are really the cancers. First this team needs more grit and one year later they need more power. I think the 2011 team had a good combination of both. Now they turned this team into an over-paid bunch of guys who play like a triple A team.

I was being sarcastic. I agree, who cares. Bauer was good, if he and Montero had communication issues then you need to let them work it out, opposed to shipping off a young kid with enormous potential for a ham sandwich.

This was more than a Pitcher and Catcher working it out. It was an eccentric rookie making the pinnacle of baseball, the Major Leagues, and letting his Manager, Pitching Coach and Catcher know that he was going to let them know who is in charge.

The error wasn't by the guys in uniform. It was by the Front Office and scouts who either didn't do their homework or made a bad decision.

On one hand, I wish hazing rookies (wearing women's clothing, etc.) would go away. Making it to the big leagues is supposed to be an accomplishment, not a punishment.

By the same token, I don't support a rookie coming up and hazing the veteran coaches and players. You don't walk into an organization and tell them how things are going to be done.

As with so many of the D-backs Front Office decisions, this was one more that ended in a giveaway.

Speaking as a fan, the incompetent decisions obviously need to stop.
