Tyler Skaggs pitched tonight and gave up 2 runs in 7 innings as the Angels won and Tyler is now 2-0.

Ian Kennedy gave up 1 run in 6 innings to the Brewers tonight. 3.60 ERA on the season now. We replaced him with Arroyo at double the price tag.

Seems pretty ridiculous when you consider the relatively tiny investment it would take to join the 21rst Century.

Is this why Towers makes such horrendous decisions? Is he one of those old school "I judge a player by lookin' 'em in the eye" kind of fossils?

Towers went from pitcher, to pitching coach, to scout, to Director of Scouting, to finally GM. My guess is he values his personal judgement quite a lot given this career path.
