same here beerz singing all their draft picks, and now maybe bringing a decently well number 2 wr just amazing. Atleast the cards are making moves and not being quiet as usual

I don't see why anybody wouldn't be excited if we signed Braylon. They guy had 904 yards and 7 TDs on one of the best teams in the league last year. Doucet/Roberts/Williams/Stuckey/Komar have a COMBINED total of 2143 yards and 9 TDs for their careers. Braylon would be a huge upgrade.

Headcase or not, I really hope this goes down.

I will still miss breaston cause of his kick return value, and for the receving. But Edwards would defintally be a good number 2 option for the cardinals if that is indeed who it is. Hope the deal gets done this afternoon or tomorrow!!! Kolb better do well if has both Edwards and Fitz and not over throw by 10 feet like da

I will really miss Breston. Great return guy. Played his heart out, never took a play off, played a lot bigger than he was (was always busting through tacklers) and always came up big in crunch time. He won a game for us where he chased down a guy after he picked us off and forced a fumble around the 5 yard line - it woud have been a TD. I think it was against the Rams but I really can't remember. Maybe it was Oakland? Oh well, he's gone now. Edwards is a better physical talent but he didnt have Steve's heart and hustle. Not sure who I would rather have as a #2, probably Breaston. KC took Breaston over Edwards.

That being said, we are a better team now if Edwards is signed, so bring him in.

Yeah, it was mostly Roberts. Unlike most of you guys, I WANT PP to be our punt returner. If Sanders did it for years, why not Peterson? We'll need big special teams plays if our defense is going to be as bad as I think it might be.

Roberts is our current PR. Breaston was fearless but not very elusive, he doesn't have those quick first step and change of direction skills.

Hyphen is our KR and I'm hoping PP will be our PR, at least when the other team is punting from their 30 or closer to their goal line.

personally, I think you have to have a death wish to return punts. CBus, AJ, I see your points...absolutely know he would provide some big plays....I just think him getting hurt doing it would be disastrous

Yes they are. I'm shocked at the offseason so far. I'm pretty worried about the defense though.

I'm expecting our defense to be better simply becuase I think Horton will put our guys in a position to succeed more than Davis did. Last year our lack of talent was compounded by our better players not consistently being put in a position that maximized their strengths and minimized their weak points.

Totally agree. I think Horton will be more successful in getting the best out of our guys. I'm really excited to have him on the coaching staff.

Good to see you back in Red, Jeff!

Imagine this: Cardinals' sign TE Zack Miller as well. Whiz wants to play 2 TE sets and run Ryan Williams in behind play action passes to Fitz, Heap, Miller and Roberts.

Even Bill Bilichick would be envious.
When I'm at my office PC, I can do red.

But my I-Pad won't highlight or bracket so when I'm elsewhere in the "compound" I'm stuck with B &W.

Last time I looked we are not looking for a wide out who can explain the theory of relativity...just a guy to catch the ball, be where he is supposed to be and stay sober.....that's worth 4/5 million for most of us/ Yes???

17 yards a catch and 7 TDs in the Jets run first offense is pretty damned good.

Edwards >>> Breaston

Thank God they didn't sign Stuckey and say "We are done, position fixed"

This deal better get done, hope it is at least a 2 year deal too.

Yeah, it looks like we might be involved in a lot of 38-35 games.
Short of the signing Ashomugha (a complete pipe dream), there really wasn't much out there in free agency on defense that would provide immediate high level impact. The defense this year and last was always going to live or die on guys we drafted and fully expect to take the next step like Calais, Dan Williams, Daryl Washington, and Schofield. We know what we're going to get from Dockett, Wilson, and Rhodes. Petersen having a big rookie year would be huge as well.
