Larry must be looking in the mirror, sniffing his own pits, and eating the fruits of his labor.

He has been horrible this year. His stats are from garbage time, and any time it is a clutch situation he chokes. :dcr:

Tired of it. His moping, and piss poor attitude.

This is the guy we keep instead of Boldin?

Worse team in the league and it is not even close. I have seen some bad Cardinals teams and right now ? This team couldn't beat the 2003 squad.

Screw these guys I am going to bed. Some one has to do their job well that wears the Cardinals symbol.

Holy crap this is disgusting to watch.

I agree. The only fun in this game is watching the Niners miss their field goals. On offense we can't sustain a drive and we can't make any meaningful stops on defense. Its a recipe for a grinding brutal soul crushing loss. No reason to watch unless you are a Niners fan or you just hate yourself.

Boldin was happy when we were a loser and he was top dog.

I'll take Fitzgerald and his record setting playoff performance over Boldin and his pouting after we won the NFC Championship.

How many rings they have? Q may get one soon. Remember, the almighty Whisenhunt values leadership. Q is that personified, tantrums or not, he gave this team something to cheer about in dismal years. He fought. I see ZERO fight or passion out of Fitz. He's not a leader. He fed off Q's energy. Q would talk to his teammates, even yell at them. Fitz pouts and stands by coaches. We don't need a record breaking receiver, we need a leader.

Are you kidding coming down on Fitz? He is arguably the best receiver in the entire NFL playing on a team that is in such disarray and resembling the version he was drafted to. I'm willing to bet he's not too keen on losing. If I were on this team I'd be moping around too.

Nonsense.

Boldin was a great player for the Cardinals. Watching him play his azz off and run over defenders to eke out a first down even when the team was down 30-17 and on their way to yet another 5-11 season was often the only bright spot in otherwise dismal games.

To bash him is ridiculous.

Have to. Or else you watch a top ten NFL talent walk with zero in return. FO can't be that stupid can they?

Larry's brother twittered after the game that he wondered how many current Cards would be on the roster next year.

Been saying it for weeks. Larry is not happy and I think his tenure with this team is short.

a leader who creates a ****-storm during the biggest drive in franchise history then walks off the field with his AGENT instead of celebrating with his teammates after winning the NFC title? Give me a freaking break.

Nothing new. Every player who leaves Arizona hints that their experience with the team was poor.

That CKW and Warner and the other vetrans were able to overcome the dysfunctional nature of the franchise and win an NFC Championship is one of the great miracles in NFL history.

Cards fans ripping on Boldin or Fitz is lunacy IMO. Hell, those two guys are the only truly elite players we've had over the past 8 seasons. They were 100% consensus top 5 players and did/still do, worked their asses off to be great.

With all the blatantly bad players on this team, why bitch about one of the few good ones?

Wow. The Cards have been absolutely hammered by teams that lost 41-7, 49-29 and 21-0 the week before playing Arizona.

The other opponents rang up 111 points. The Cards managed 37. The other teams gave up 36 points. The Cards, 94.

Hey Cheese, I'm gone past 2003 to this team being as bad or worse than the 2000 abomination.

I wouldn't, but then again I am not or never have been a professional athelete. I have played on two 0 for __ teams. You play and fight till the play/game/season is over. No matter what.

Edit for effect:

Back to Larry,

I have been a fan of the Cardinals since 1998.

Big time players, make big time plays, in big time games.

He has not done that this year, and goes on TV talking about "garbage". About how HE doesn't want this and that. What about his team, what about Fitzgerald doing what he is paid to do, and lead. By example or by talking, I don't care but lead the team you are the respresentitve of.

There are fans, and a good number of them, who can except losing. But, no fan excepts packing it in, and quitting.

When you are paid 14 million a year, are the face of the franchise, and looked upon as a leader of the team, you have to do your job, and IMO, this year, Fitzgerald is not doing that.

Too many critical drops, in too many critical situations this year.

This team is HORRIBLE and looking for anything to spark them. Fitzgerald dropping TD passes, and 1st down passes is not helping.

It is a team game. If this team is garbage, and it is, Fitzgerald is part of it, not the exemption to it.

I understand having a bad year, I understand having a bad year with Anderson as your QB, but ...............[changed thought]

Actually, if Fitzgerald is going to have a bad year, this is the one to have it in.

Just pile it on, I suppose.

While I still have nostalgic/happy memories of what Fitzgerald has done for this team in the past, and he has earned a pass for poor play, etc., etc. his "garbage" quote irked the hell out of me. More than anything because he was putting himself above this current team, and not accepting the blame and the reality that this is his team.

I think it would be appropriate to cut Fitz a little slack. He is obviously not having the type of year that everyone, including himself, would like to have but there is only so much that can happen before the frustration sets in.

Which is my point. I wouldn't turn on Fitzgerald because I think that he is a)frustrated with not solution in sight and b)I think it is that frustration that fuels his comments.

Rugby, you shouldn't citicize your Cardinals, you should become a NY Giants Fan as you told me to do.

This just proves that Warner carried Whiz and the defense on his back the past 2 years.

Fair enough.

I did apologize and admit that I was wrong in doing so, but if you want to harp on it then that is ok you are free to post as you please.

Oh, and I won't be becoming a Giants fan anytime soon. So, while I appreciate the advise, I won't be following it. I accept my team for what it is......which is horrible right now.

Hopefully my response is OK. I don't want to feel like I am hammering you again.

BTW, any thoughts on Fitz ?

Wrong.

The defense wasn't great but guys like Bertrand Berry, Karlos Dansby, and Chike Okeafor carried the defense. Not Warner.

We do have to remember that the 2008 team was only 9-7 and that almost half the NFL teams that year had as good or better records.

Holding playoff opponents to only 72.5 yards per game rushing and forcing 12 turnovers in the NFC playoff games had almost as much to do with the Cards getting to the big game as Warner who didn't throw for more than 270 yards in any of those 3 NFC games.
