Suns sign second-round pick Taylor Griffin
PHOENIX - The Phoenix Suns have signed second-round draft pick Taylor Griffin, the 48th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Taylor is an excellent athlete, a hard worker and very much team-oriented," said Suns President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Steve Kerr. "He fits right in with the kind of people we want in our organization, and he has a chance to develop into a very good player."
The former Oklahoma Sooner was a part of the Suns Summer League team, averaging 6.2 points and 3 rebounds while starting all five games.
In college his best season was his senior season, scoring 10 points per game and six rebounds playing forward along side his brother, the first overall pick Blake Griffin.
