Dont be suprised to hear this talk in the coming days....

He is very unhappy with his contract and is starting to burn his bridges in Chicago. His first destination over any other team....AZ. Its been said already.

That would be great, but wishful thinking.

Not a fit on the defense. And too much money and mileage on those tires.

1) I'd take him in a heartbeat.

2) Not going to happen. This is like the Dallas/Boldin rumor. No weight to it IMO.

Is there a link to this, or even a source? I'd do it in a heartbeat, and then move one of our ILBs. He's still in his prime, and he'd be great in a leadership role.

Don't get me wrong, I love Hayes and Dansby a lot. But Urlacher is a complete gamebreaker.

Urlacher is a 4-3 traditional LB.

We have no idea how his talents would transfer to a 3-4.

His skills are more Dansby, then Hayes... it would seem...

So, as said.... let just re-sign Dansby long term.

Problem solved... let's move to the next.

The guy has but a few quality years left... He's never won a championship and yet, we're to believe that AZ would be a choice of his??

LMAO!!! :lmao:

If it's a possibility the Cards need to at least look into it. I think he could thrive as an ILB in the 3-4.

Personally, I'd trade Dansby for Urlacher straight up and call it a good day's work.

JMHO.

Interesting idea. Trade one set of problems for another. Of course, Urlacher will still want a new contract, so the Cardinals would be trading for a better player with medical concerns, who's older. Seems that while straight up would be fair, I think keeping Dansby and just signing him to the contract Urlacher wants would be better.

UHHH...No...There is no way I make that trade. I just pay Los, and stay in the 3-4.

He loves the Southwest, having played at New Mexico. It's that simple.

But when he came out to be drafted he stated that he didn't want to be drafted by the Arizona Cardinals. How time and Money seem to change things over thew years.

Just think maybe more PH.

How on earth can any of you say that you wouldn't want him on our team is beyond me. I will take him in a heartbeat.

I am also in agreement with Pariah on the trade. he made be older and have some medical concerns, but atleast you know what you are getting from him... 100% all the time.

Urlacher has fallen very far from grace here in Chicago. He got himself into some financial trouble and the Bears extended his deal with a big signing bonus. Now he's pulling the same crap about wanting a new contract. if I'm not mistaken I think he has something like 4 years left on the deal HE signed.
Once the darling of Chicago fans, you would be shocked to hear what many fans in this town think of him.
He has kind of turned into a shmuck.

Just sign Dansby.

well--being in Mass, I am sure it seems simple.

Really, New Mexico is just as close to Denver, and borders Texas as well. Urlacher in all likelihood grew up either a Bronco or a Cowboy fan.

It may be just as close, but culturally and the landscapes are much closer between Arizona and New Mexico than they are to Denver. Denver doesn't really have a Southwest feel at all.
