The New York Yankees bullpen has been a hot topic over the past few weeks, and until there's either an internal or external move to fix it, many will continue to suggest that something has to be done.

Skipper Aaron Boone is definitely in a tough spot with his bullpen right now, but there are some internal options in Triple-A right now that could potentially help New York. One of those guys is Carlos Lagrange, who has an upper-90s fastball.

One Yankees writer recently urged New York to finally pull the trigger on the youngster and call him up to the big leagues.

While the hope is that Lagrange will eventually be a starter at the highest level, the Yankees can ease him into a bullpen role right now, and there's definitely reason to believe that he could help as early as right now.

“The New York Yankees need to call up Carlos Lagrange,” Ryan Garcia said on Instagram. “The Yankees bullpen has been a disaster lately. They have blown lead after lead after lead on the recent road trip, and instead of the team being 5-3 for this road trip, they fell to 2-6. The AL East is slipping before their very eyes, and they need to act fast. Carlos Lagrange would be the perfect way to address this bullpen. They lack power pitchers, elite swing-and-miss stuff, and Lagrange provides both.”

I don't want to get too emotional about some of the Yankees' problems throughout the year, such as saying things like the American League East is slipping from their hands. Obviously, every game matters in Major League Baseball, and it's very possible that the Yankees could be impacted by some of these early losses.

However, this team has been derailed with some injuries on the mound and should be in a really good spot at some point when things are fully fixed. Calling up Lagrange would only add to that.
