Here is the WWE NXT review of the June 2, 2026, episode. The show was held in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. This episode is full of rage and revenge. Lizzy Rain, Tristan Angels, Kam Hendrix, Tate Wilder, Myka Lockwood, Mason Rook, Kali Armstrong, and Naraku have made their debut one after another. They all want gold, and the quest continues tonight, as NXT Great American Bash is not meant to happen until the end of July.
Four matches were advertised for the June 2, 2026, NXT episode. Lizzy Rain faces Zaria. After last week’s backstage attack, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights seek revenge on DarkState. The WWE Speed Championship is on the line as Lexis King defends against Romeo Moreno. Tony D’Angelo also puts the NXT Championship on the line against Kam Hendrix. We also learnt that we’ll hear from NXT Women’s Champion, Lola Vice. Because TNA Wrestling could be involved, let’s Nygma-dive into what happened last night.
The incredible momentum for Zaria continues. The Australian Superstar defeated Lizzy Rain in a hotly contested singles matchup. NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley arrived on the scene in the middle of the match for a front row seat, but she didn’t like what she saw. Rain put up a fight, but two massive Spears and a ring-rattling F-5 were enough for Zaria to win the match. After the bout, Zaria attacked Rain and Paxley, forcing the champion to throw out a championship opportunity.
As DarkState was making their way to the ring, Saquon Shugars attacked Cutler James in the rafters. Dion Lennox and OSiris Grifiin rushed to save him. The tag match against Myles Borne and Tavion Heights was delayed to later in the show.
Before the match, Izzi Dame asked Niko Vance and Shawn Spears to help her finish what they started. OTM didn’t let them do. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price shone in this impromptu tag team match that should have happened last week. With Izzi Dame watching at ringside, Spears and Vance struggled to match the ferocity of OTM, ultimately falling thanks to a massive double Samoan Drop.

Before the match, EK Prosper had some words of encouragement for Tate Wilder when Kam Hendrix hadn’t. Tate Wilder took some risks, but it backfired once again as he overextended himself against Jackson Drake. Myka Lockwood proved to be a key difference maker for Drake as she caught one of Wilder’s high-flying moves and power bombed onto the steel steps and the ring apron. That allowed Drake to hit a huge 450 Splash to win the match and continue his hot streak.
Lola Vice said that she did what she said she would do and knocked out Izzi Dame. She proved that she is the total package. She is undeniable, and it doesn’t matter who the challenger is. She’ll prove the doubters wrong. Vice asked who was next. Kelani Jordan came out and asked if it was finally time for her.Jordan said that she has made it impossible for Vice to deny her any longer. The ones who applauded Vice’s success couldn’t wait to criticize hers.
Kendal Grey came out with Wren Sinclair on a crutch. She reminded Jordan and Vice that she pinned both of them. Grey said they have unfinished business, so she is next. She added that she has a receipt for what Jordan did to her friend. Vice interrupted them; Jordan and Grey will wrestle next week, and the winner will face her at the Great American Bash. Jordan pushed Vice, who inadvertently hit Kendal Grey.
Lexis King continues to prove that he is, as he calls himself, “The fastest man alive,” by successfully defending his Speed Title. The newcomer Romeo Moreno came incredibly close, but one Coronation DDT allowed the champion to retain.

Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin made a statement by defeating the team of NXT North American Champion Myles Borne and Tavion Heights. Saquon Shugars’ attack earlier in the night forced Lennox to replace Cutler James, and that allowed Heights and Borne to gain some early momentum thanks to their tandem suplexes and incredible athleticism. However, Griffin and Lennox weathered the storm and wisely isolated Heights, allowing them to hit a Doomsday Device for the win.
Kam Hendrix came dangerously close to winning the NXT Championship, but in the end, the night belonged to Tony D’Angelo. Hendrix wasted no time and nailed the champion with a Showtime Kick, but D’Angelo weathered the storm. The challenger attempted to introduce a steel chair, but Mason Rook prevented it, allowing D’Angelo to hit him with a big back body drop onto the announce table.
The Champion used the challenger’s incredible athleticism against him, using his own momentum to get him into position for a match-ending Dead to Rights. After the match, Naraku entered the ring, handed D’Angelo the NXT Championship, and bowed, signalling his intentions for a future championship opportunity.
I could use the same end sentences as last week. We feel that we’re so close to something good, even great. What is missing is that little spark that will bring NXT back to life. As always, NXT women are giving it all. Well, the wacky race continues, but that doesn’t mean the episodes get better with time.
The words “NXT Great American Bash” have finally been said, though no official date has been announced. As of now, the card remains hard to predict, if we expect a real PLE card. Well, this new era of NXT is as exciting as it can be surprising. I’ll see you next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA “cold war.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.

Zaria wants the NA title
The incredible momentum for Zaria continues. The Australian Superstar defeated Lizzy Rain in a hotly contested singles matchup. Who’s next for Lola Vice?
Lola Vice said that she did what she said she would do and knocked out Izzi Dame. She proved that she is the total package. She is undeniable, and it doesn’t matter who the challenger is. She’ll prove the doubters wrong. Vice asked who was next. Kelani Jordan came out and asked if it was finally time for her.Jordan said that she has made it impossible for Vice to deny her any longer. #AndSTILL, Mr. Speed Lexis King

Unbreakable DarkState
Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin made a statement by defeating the team of NXT North American Champion Myles Borne and Tavion Heights. Saquon Shugars’ attack earlier in the night forced Lennox to replace Cutler James, and that allowed Heights and Borne to gain some early momentum thanks to their tandem suplexes and incredible athleticism. However, Griffin and Lennox weathered the storm and wisely isolated Heights, allowing them to hit a Doomsday Device for the win.
Tony D’Angelo won a battle, not the war
NXT Review – Meanwhile, backstage
- Osiris Griffin wanted to know what happened, and he told Robert Stone that Dion Lennox is taking his place. Jasper Troy entered and had some words with Griffin. Lennox hit a chair on Troy’s back. Then, Lennox and Griffin destroyed Stone’s office.
- The Mr. NXT Pageant takes place next week.
- Zaria attacked Tatum Paxley backstage.
- Tony D’Angelo asked Mason Rook if he would be involved in his match. He replied that he should be in the ring, not Kam Hendrix. Robert Stone told Rook he will face Naraku next week. If Rook wins next week, he jumps to the front of the line.
- Nattie told Jaida Parker her performance last week was less than mediocre. Nattie added that she sees through Parker. She is not afraid of her, but she knows that Parker is scared.
Now this is a match we would LOVE to see!! #WWENXTpic.twitter.com/mzIqW29RWi
