MADISON – The reigning national champions and another three Elite Eight teams are among the teams that will visit Wisconsin for men’s basketball games at the Kohl Center in 2026-27.

The Big Ten released the 2026-27 home and away matchups for each men’s basketball team on May 12.

Wisconsin will face reigning national champion Michigan, Purdue, Nebraska, Indiana, Penn State, Oregon and Washington at the Kohl Center in 2026-27. Purdue is coming off an Elite Eight appearance, and Nebraska went to the Sweet 16.

The Badgers will travel to face Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Rutgers, UCLA and USC exclusively on the road. Michigan State, UCLA and Ohio State are coming off 2026 NCAA Tournament berths.

Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois will play the Badgers both at home and on the road in the 2026-27 season. Illinois went to the Final Four in 2026, and Iowa reached the Elite Eight. Minnesota has been one of UW’s home-and-away opponents in each year since the Big Ten expanded to 18 teams.

The conference has yet to announce the dates of Wisconsin’s Big Ten games. UW’s known nonconference matchups include Marquette on Dec. 5 and Auburn on Dec. 19. UW also is expected to play Villanova in Philadelphia as the second part of a two-year contract.

Wisconsin is coming off a 2025-26 season with a 24-11 overall record and another early exit from the NCAA Tournament. The 2026-27 Badgers will have several new faces after losing four starters to either graduation or the transfer portal.
