Will Georgia football sign anyone during the February signing period?

The February signing period gets underway on Wednesday.

What used to be a big deal for Georgia football and other major programs now is almost an afterthought.

The Bulldogs seem unlikely to sign any new recruits starting on Feb. 4 in the traditional signing period that ends on a “final date based on institutional policy for awarding scholarships,” according to a link on the NCAA website.

Georgia brought in 28 players in the December period.

One player who had committed but did not sign is cornerback Chace Calicut of Houston.

He had felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon dismissed on Jan. 7, but it’s not known if he will still join the program and if he does, when the school would announce that.

Georgia added North Oconee wide receiver Dallas Dickerson in January after he asked for his release from Kentucky. Dickerson has already signed with Georgia, according to North Oconee.
