Mikal Bridges didn't even work up a sweat.

The New York Knicks' star two-way player played 23 seconds on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets.

But no, he's not hurt.

This was all by design.

Why did Mikal Bridges play just 23 seconds?

This was all about his consecutive games streak.

Bridges has now played in 638 games in a row in the NBA regular season.

He played a short stint to end last regular season, too. Sunday is the final day of the 2025-26 campaign, and so the Knicks want to keep Bridges healthy.

First, they wanted to let him keep this alive.

Yes, it's a silly gimmick, but it counts.
