Wondering why you've seen Michael Irvin going wild on the sidelines or, er, spanking a Gatorade cooler for Miami during the Hurricanes' run in the College Football Playoff? Great question!

First off, he's a former Miami player, in case you didn't know. And second, it's a way for current head coach Mario Cristobal -- himself a former Miami offensive lineman -- to take Irvin's incredible energy and bring it to the current team.

He's not the only one who's been there -- ex-Hurricane Ray Lewis has shown up, and others like Jonathan Vilma, Reggie Wayne and Edgerrin James have been seen on the sidelines for Miami.

But maybe we'll see Irvin once again as Miami tries to make a run to the national championship game.
