Diego Pavia has been terrific with stops at New Mexico State and Vanderbilt, tossing 20-plus TDs in each of his last three seasons with single-digit interceptions. He's also run for over 800 yards in those past three seasons with 25 TDs on the ground.

So why did the quarterback drop out of the first round and maybe beyond in the 2026 NFL Draft?

By many accounts, there are multiple reasons. It starts with his measurements -- he's listed at just over 5-foot-10 and 207 pounds. Despite there being some undersized QBs in the NFL, that might be a problem. There are also questions about arm strength, and that combo means he's not a top option for teams looking for quarterback, but maybe he's a late Day 3 pick who proves a lot of the doubters wrong.
