Why Caitlin Clark is on a minutes restriction tonight vs. Aces with Fever injury update originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Caitlin Clark still isn't at full strength.
When the Indiana Fever take on the Las Vegas Aces in a marquee WNBA matchup Sunday night on NBC, Clark will play, but not her full allotment of minutes.
That's something that's definitely frustrating for Clark, but it's something that the Fever must feel like they need to keep doing.
Clark is getting closer, but it's still a complication for Indiana at the moment.
Is Caitlin Clark on a minutes restriction?
On Sunday night, Clark is expected to play between 20 and 25 minutes, according to what head coach Stephanie White told reporters.
That's a bit more than half of a 40-minute WNBA game.
In the Fever's last game, Clark played in three-minute spurts, but she has told reporters she expects her stints to be closer to double that on Sunday.
What is Caitlin Clark's injury?
Clark continues to battle back troubles.
She's had issues with her back in the past, too, and it's clearly a nagging problem.
It's not keeping her off the floor, but it's making the Fever proceed with caution.
