When looking at the Boston Celtics' current depth chart, it's clear that the forward position is not an area of need. Joe Mazzulla already has Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Hugo Gonzalez, Sam Hauser and Jordan Walsh to lean on. Therefore, it's unlikely Brad Stevens will look to strengthen that position this summer, unless some wider changes are being made.

However, that could all change in the coming weeks. After all, Jordan Walsh has a team option on his contract for next season, and Sam Hauser has been floated in trade rumors since the Feb. 5 trade deadline. Therefore, Stevens may use the upcoming NBA Draft to add another versatile option at the forward position, and that's where Alex Karaban could come into the equation.

Karaban, a 6-foot-8 senior out of UConn, would fit Brad Stevens' recent draft profile. He's spent the last four years honing his game in the collegiate ranks, and could be someone ready to enter the Celtics rotation from opening night, while still boasting plenty of upside for the future.

In 40 games this past season, Karaban averaged 13.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Huskies, while knocking down 37.4% of his three-point shots and 85.1% of his free throws. If Stevens does opt to add another forward, Karaban would be a logical choice.

If you're unfamiliar with Karaban's game, the "How 'Bout Them Celtics?" podcast recently did a deep dive on his skill set, potential fit with the Celtics and room for improvement.
