The presence of John Harbaugh as head coach represents a new beginning for the Giants, of course, and there is reason to believe that this is just the start of a promising future - and with that level of optimism, it's not too early to look ahead and prepare for what's coming down the road, even if the focus remains on Sept. 13 and opening night at MetLife Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys.
You never want to look too far into the future in the NFL, and that has applied to the Giants far too many times over in the past decade-plus. Head coaching changes. Constant roster turnover without many second deals for draft picks.
When you lose as much as Big Blue has, staying in the moment and avoiding the pitfalls of the recent past becomes a never-ending quest for a franchise.
For now, there are questions that need to be answered as Harbaugh prepares to kick off his first training camp as Giants coach in West Virginia at the Greenbrier on July 28.
We hope to set the table for the summer and beyond with 26 questions that will define the 2026 Giants season.

The Giants seemingly have more confidence in their corners than many outside observers.
Paulson Adebo played better than given credit for last year until his injury in the first half of the collapse in Denver. He's a good bet to bounce back and play well in this defense. As for who will be starting on the opposite side, keep an eye on a second-round rookie.
Here's what secondary coach Donald D'Alesio said this spring when asked if he believed Colton Hood has what it takes to win a starting job.
“I do,” D’Alesio said. “What he put on tape in college - and since he’s gotten here - he has that makeup in him. The beautiful thing about Hood is his mind is wired the right way, too. He knows what it’s going to take."
Hood is extremely talented and Harbaugh declared that he expected him to challenge for a starting role on the boundary the moment he became a Giant. He must learn how to play strong while experience and reps against receivers of varying styles will challenge him.
Greg Newsome could be a great value addition if he reverts to his form from early last season in Cleveland in DC Dennard Wilson's aggressive system. Hood will have to beat him out.
Dru Phillips was inconsistent in the slot, but is a talented player who could breakout in the nickel spot. This may be Tae Banks' last chance in the summer to earn the trust of his fourth DC, including interim Charlie Bullen last year. He's going to have to earn a role.
