The 2026 OSAA softball season is complete and the Salem-Keizer area saw teams and players across all classifications excel on the diamond.

With state championship season over, it's time to decide who the top player in the area was this spring. Athletes from the Salem-Keizer area collected several individual and team accolades with many conference championships being added to already-existing trophy cabinets.

Without further ado, here are the nominees for the Salem-Keizer area's top softball player this spring, brought to you by Maps Credit Union.

Addie Bishop, Regis​


Bishop, a junior, led the Rams from the pitching circle in their quest to a 2A/1A state championship appearance and Special District 3 title. In addition to her pitching, Bishop slugged seven home runs and 27 RBIs across the season and in the Rams' 9-1 state semifinal win over Weston-McEwen, pitched seven full innings and struck out nine batters.

Cassidy Crabtree, Cascade​


Crabtree, a senior, earned Oregon West Conference co-player of the year with teammate Amyah Miranda as they led the Cougars through a perfect 15-0 conference campaign. Cascade went on an 18-game win streak during the season and across the regular season, Crabtree was among the most efficient batters in the state with a .596 average.

Cam Dalke, Scio​


Dalke was one of the most explosive offensive players in Oregon in Scio's march to a 22-6 overall record and third-place finish in a loaded 3A Special District 3. Dalke, a senior, sent 14 home runs over the wall in the regular season — the joint second-best mark across all classifications — and she led the entire state of Oregon in RBIs with 70. Dalke earned conference player of the season for her work this spring.

Lucy Duval, West Salem​


Duval served as the Titans' lead pitcher in a 24-6 overall season that ended in the 6A state quarterfinals. Duval, a senior, struck out 164 batters in 130 1/3 innings throughout the regular season and played an integral role in the team's success. Duval was named to the Central Valley Conference first-team roster as a pitcher.

Madalynn Ehrens, Silverton​


Silverton's slugger finished the regular season with seven home runs and a .567 batting average, both among the best in Class 5A. Ehrens, a junior, fielded as a catcher or infielder for the 14-13 Foxes that earned third in the Mid-Willamette Conference, and she earned the conference's player of the season award for her contributions.

Hadley Foster, Regis​


Foster, a senior, was a key piece in a historic campaign from the Rams. Foster and the Rams claimed a 2A/1A Special District 3 championship and made it to the state final, and on the way set a new Oregon record for most runs in a season. Foster batted .618 in the regular season, the eighth-best mark across all classifications, for the Rams who scored a whopping 439 runs. Foster also had 36 RBIs this spring.

Courtney Gills, West Salem​


Gills was the brick wall behind the plate for a Titans team that reached the 6A state quarterfinals. Beyond that, Gills was a slugger in the batter's box — she hit a 6A second-best 14 home runs in the regular season and her 53 RBIs were the most of any athlete in the class. The Titans' senior earned a bid to the Central Valley Conference first-team roster as a catcher.

Maddi Jones, Dallas​


Jones played a major role in the Dragons' success as undefeated Mid-Willamette Conference champions who reached the 5A state quarterfinals. In Dallas' 3-2 quarterfinal loss to Canby, Jones, a junior, threw a full game with 10 strikeouts and additionally drove in both the Dragons' runs. She was a key two-way contributor on a young Dragons team that will have high hopes and goals next spring.

Autumn Siegel, McNary​


Siegel was the Celtics' freshman sensation in a season that ended with a 23-5 overall record and Central Valley Conference championship. Siegel hit eight home runs in her inaugural high school campaign and earned conference player of the year for her play.

Violet Siegel, McNary​


Siegel, a senior, helped spearhead a campaign that brought a Central Valley Conference championship trophy back to Keizer. Siegel earned first-team all-CVC from the infield and sent home 38 RBIs as a two-way sensation in a season that ended in the second round of the 6A state tournament.

Charly Upmeyer, Dayton​


Upmeyer, a junior, was a part of the Pirates' two-headed dragon of a pitching staff that allowed 67 runs across the season and reached the 3A state semifinals. Upmeyer was named to the Special District 3 first team as a pitcher as the Dragons went 14-2 in-conference for second place.

Ashlyn Wittnebel, McNary​


Wittnebel earned Central Valley Conference pitcher of the year for the dominant senior-heavy 14-0 conference champion Celtics. Across the regular season, Wittnebel, a senior, struck out 179 batters in 135 innings and in the Celtics' first playoff game threw a full six innings and struck out nine batters.
