With this year's Indianapolis 500 being less than 75 days away, the field of entries is taking shape. There are 30 confirmed drivers after it was announced Wednesday that Conor Daly will drive for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.
As of now, there are a few spots that are unknown in the Indy 500.
The status of Prema Racing is a wild card in this discussion. Prema Racing had its inaugural IndyCar season in 2025 as a full-time team, as driver Robert Shwartzman became the first rookie to win the Indy 500 pole since 1983. But Prema is not participating full-time this year missing the first three races of the IndyCar season. Prema had two entries, Shwartzman and Callum Ilott, in last year's Indy 500 and IndyCar season.
Andretti Global plans to run a fourth car, according to Dan Towriss, the CEO of TWG Motorsports, Andretti Global's parent company. Former Andretti Global driver Colton Herta, who currently drives for Hitech TGR in Formula 2, is in consideration for Andretti Global's fourth seat. Herta drives for Hitech TGR with support from Cadillac F1, TWG Motorsports' new Formula 1 team.
Here are the current confirmed entries for this year's race by team. (Italics signify an Indy-500 only driver.)
