The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city that could be where the Vikings select the next star they add to their roster in hopes of righting the proverbial ship. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft.

Thankfully, we now have some added context for players now that the scouting combine has come and gone.

PFF's Max Chadwick recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team focusing on defense once again. He has the Vikings giving the secondary help by drafting Clemson's Aveion Terrell, a common pick in mock drafts.

Chadwick explains the Terrell pick, writing, "The Vikings have finished outside the top 15 of team PFF coverage grade in each of the past six seasons and need plenty of help in their secondary. Terrell's 90.6 PFF overall grade over the past two seasons ranked fifth among Power Four cornerbacks."

The mock draft also had two extra rounds in which the team selected LSU safety AJ Haulcy and Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson. Both players could be plug-and-play, along with Terrell, so it could be seen as a dream draft based on the past track record the Vikings have had.
