Dusty May is now the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks -- and here's why that happened, per reports -- with fans of the Michigan Wolverines wondering who could replace the man who led the university to a national championship.

But let's look forward for a moment. The 2026 NBA Draft is Tuesday night, and there are plenty of mock drafts out there that might need revising now that May is on the bench for the Mavs. Does this mean the Mavericks could take a Michigan player or two on Tuesday night?

Here's the intriguing thing: Both Yaxel Lendeborg and Aday Mara are extremely intriguing names who could be available around pick No. 9... which is where the Mavs are selecting. Lendeborg has the kind of all-around talent to bring to both ends of the floor for Dallas, so he could be a target. The 7-foot-3 Mara could be a big man who could grow with Cooper Flagg, but the franchise has big men in Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II. And we haven't talked about Morez Johnson Jr., the forward who was a key role player in the run to a title.

It makes more sense to me if Masai Ujiri wants Lendeborg at No. 9 if he and May are thinking Michigan at that spot. We'll see!
