The 2026 World Cup final pits Argentina against Spain and the winner will mark just the 23rd in the history of the tournament.

But has your country ever won a World Cup?

La Roja already boasts one trophy, dating back to 2010. Meanwhile, Argentina is on the cusp of becoming the third country in history to repeat as World Cup champions and is looking to add a fourth trophy to their case.

Of the 22 World Cups in history, 20 championships have been claimed by just six countries. Brazil stands at the top with five wins, while Germany and Italy follow closely with four titles each. Argentina has lifted the trophy three times, and France and Uruguay have each won it twice.

Only Spain and England, which won in 1966, have secured one World Cup crown. In total, only five other countries have ever reached a World Cup final, meaning that merely 13 nations have ever contended for the ultimate prize on football's biggest stage.
