No. 7 Texas A&M (36–10, 15–8 SEC) returns to Aggieland this weekend for a pivotal three‑game series against No. 20 Ole Miss (32–17, 12–12 SEC), a matchup loaded with national‑seeding implications as both programs enter the final stretch of SEC play.

The Aggies closed out their midweek slate with a 16–7 win over Prairie View A&M, piling up 14 hits and four home runs while cycling through five arms. Junior Hunter Bond delivered the most impressive outing of the night, giving coach Trisha Ford valuable bullpen reps ahead of the weekend.

The Auburn series told a different story. Texas A&M dropped its first SEC series since March after losing both games of Saturday’s doubleheader. But behind Weston Moss and a timely home run, the Aggies salvaged the finale to avoid the sweep and maintain their top‑eight national seed trajectory.

Ole Miss enters the weekend at .500 in SEC play after back‑to‑back series losses, including last week’s setback against Arkansas. The Rebels remain one of the league’s most unpredictable teams, capable of beating anyone on any weekend. Their résumé includes series wins over Florida and LSU, both top‑25 victories, and a road win at Tennessee on Rocky Top.

This weekend marks the 41st meeting between the programs, with Ole Miss holding a narrow 21–19 edge. Since 2021, the matchup has tilted slightly toward A&M at 7–6, though the Rebels claimed last year’s series by taking the first two games before the Aggies answered in Game 3.

The stakes are clear. Texas A&M is fighting to secure a top‑eight national seed and hosting rights, while Ole Miss is battling to enter the hosting conversation. With the regular season winding down, every inning carries weight.
