After winning the one-off Test against Afghanistan in Mullanpur by an innings and 300 runs, India followed it up with dominant wins in the first two ODIs in Dharamshala and Lucknow.
India stamped their class in Lucknow as Shubman Gill (154) and Ishan Kishan (125) powered India to 402. In reply, Afghanistan could only muster 232.
