After more than seven months since the Detroit Lions have graced fans' TV screens, Dan Campbell's bunch will once again take the field on Thursday night.
The Lions travel to Paycor Stadium to battle the Cincinnati Bengals in the first of three preseason games for Detroit.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff won't play, which paves the way for rookie undrafted free agent Luke Altmyer to see plenty of seat time. Altmyer has been taking second- and third-team reps since Teddy Bridgewater's retirement. The Lions signed veteran signal-caller Joshua Dobbs and Campbell said Dobbs will see some action as well even though he just joined the franchise on Monday.
As kickoff approaches, here's where and when Detroit fans can watch the Lions vs. the Bengals in the first week of preseason action:
Fans can watch the Lions' preseason opener locally on Fox 2 Detroit. Play-by-play announcer Jack Kizer will be joined by color analyst T.J. Lang and sideline reporter Patti Cesarini.
Out-of-market fans can still watch the Lions vs. Bengals via an NFL+ subscription. An NFL+ subscription allows fans to watch out-of-market preseason games on their TV, PC, phone and tablets for $6.99 for a montly subscription and $39.99 for an annual subscription.
Fans can tune into Lions play-by-play voice Dan Miller and color analyst Lomas Brown on the Lions Radio Network.
