For the amount of success Jon Scheyer has had in his four years coaching Duke – 124-25 overall record, three ACC tournament titles, two ACC regular-season titles and a trip to the Final Four – his salary is a bargain for the Blue Devils at a mere $2.38 million.

Considering UNC just ponied up $8.3 million a year to get Michael Malone as its new head coach, Scheyer’s pay is minuscule, especially compared to some coaches (Tommy Lloyd, Chris Beard) who haven’t achieved as much during the past four seasons.

But where does he rank in the hierarchy of the ACC? We take a look: (Based on 2025-26 season)

1. Brad Brownell (Clemson) - $4 millon per year (28th in college basketball)

2. Jeff Capel (Pitt) - $3.95 million per year (31st)

3. Hubert Davis (UNC) - $3.85 million per year (34th)

4. Pat Kelsey (Louisville) - $3.35 million per year (41st)

5. Ryan Odom (Virginia) - $3.275 million per year (44th)

6. Micah Shrewbury (Notre Dame) - $3.26 million per year (45th)

7. Mike Young (Virginia Tech) - $3 million per year (51st)

8. Mark Madsen (California) - $2.8 million per year (56th)

9. Will Wade (NC State) - $2.54 million per year (59th)

10. Earl Grant (Boston College) - $2.48 million per year (63rd)

11. Jon Scheyer (Duke) - $2.38 million per year (64th)

12. Steve Forbes (Wake Forest) - $2.34 million per year (65th)

13. Damon Stoudamire (Georgia Tech) - $2.3 million per year (66th)

14. Luke Loucks (FSU) - $2.05 million per year (68th)

15. Adrian Autry (Syracuse) - $1.85 million per year (71st)

Andy Enfield (SMU), Kyle Smith (Stanford) and Jai Lucas (Miami) not reported.
