The 2026 NFL Draft was talked about quite a bit for the Minnesota Vikings. Their draft class left some scratching their heads, and others applauding their ability to fill the holes on their roster. As the dust has settled from the draft, now come all the power rankings pre-training camps. Let's take a look at where CBS Sports ranked the Vikings after the draft.
Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has the Vikings ranked 19th in the NFL, just below the Cincinnati Bengals (17) and the Detroit Lions (18), and just ahead of the Indianapolis Colts (20) and Pittsburgh Steelers (21). Prisco moved them down three spots and projects Minnesota to finish 9-8 on the year.
The difficulty of carrying weight in people's power rankings is that each individual will value some things more than others. Prisco applauded Minnesota for bringing in Kyler Murray, naming him the likely starter in 2026, and touched on adding much-needed defensive pieces. Some may think the Murray move is bigger than him, or that they didn't do enough to address the defense, which would rank them even lower.
It all depends on what you believe to be important, at the end of the day.
