What happened to Leon Draisaitl? Oilers' potential injury news is bad for superstar originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Leon Draisaitl left the Edmonton Oilers' game after only a few minutes on Sunday night.
The German superstar didn't return, and it raised immediate injury concern for Oilers fans.
Edmonton obviously relies heavily on Draisaitl, who along with Connor McDavid is a two-headed monster at the front of the Oilers attack. Draisaitl actually scored a goal in his short time on the ice on Sunday night.
On this night, though, Draisaitl left, and that's not a great sign.

What happened to Leon Draisaitl?
On Sunday night, Draisaitl sustained an apparent injury and missed most of the Oilers' game.
In the first period, Draisaitl took a hit into the Predators' bench, came back to the game for a bit, but then left and didn't return.
Draisaitl played just 3:12.
Ha may have injured his lower back on the check.
If that's what happened, and if it keeps Draisaitl out, it's a crucial blow.
This season, Draisaitl has 96 points in 64 games. The Oilers definitely need him at full strength and on the ice.
McDavid can only lift so much of the team on his shoulders.
