Ahead of the season, the Milwaukee Brewers gave a sneak peek of the new foods and beverage options, and vendors, joining American Family Field for 2026.
"We started working on this, really, last year," Tom Hecht, the Brewers vice president of consumer experience, said at a Feb. 20 news conference at the ballpark. "We looked to see what fans are gravitating to, what needs to change, and we spend a lot of the offseason tasting new items."
One addition this year is a "Fair Foods" stand, with deep-fried kringle, corn dogs, cream puffs, nachos on a stick, funnel fries and more.
"We wanted to do something that was reminiscent of the great foods you get whether at the state fairs or county fairs," Hecht said. "Working with the chefs here, we wanted to put our own twist on things."
The 3rd St. Market Hall Annex and The Alley Food Truck Park are expanding. Both connect fans with the local food scene and not-your-typical ballpark fare.
"The fans have really been tremendous and have given us great support of our local vendors," said Omar Shaikh, 3rd Street Market Hall's owner.
Squeezing a fourth made-from-scratch food truck into The Alley area means that the food truck park is maxed out on space.
There are several new options when it comes to concessions, as well as at J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard.
"The goal here is to continue to enhance the experience for our fans, bring in new things, get fans excited for what we're doing, and we're really excited about that," Hecht said.
Meet some of the new food and drink vendors below. And, get a taste of what's cooking at AmFam Field this season:
Lifelong Brewers fans Kip and Lauren Kadlec attend games frequently. But, this year, trips to the ballpark will look different.
K&L’s BBQ – their backyard hobby-turned-food truck – is joining The Alley.
After trying true Texas-style barbecue in the Lone Star State years ago, the couple "fell in love with it" and Kip became obsessed with smoking meats, Lauren said.
K&L's ballpark menu will include brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, a smoked brisket burger, brisket or pulled pork elote, and brisket or pulled-pork loaded fries.
"We are thrilled, excited, nervous, all the feelings," Lauren said. "It's going to be a fun year."
Bebe Zito will be debuting its second Milwaukee location. This one, at the stadium's 3rd Street Market Hall Annex.
Husband and wife Ben Spangler and Gabriella Grant – who grew up in Minneapolis suburbs – are behind the award-winning ice cream and burger operation.
With Spangler working long hours as an executive chef, Grant – an interior architect and designer – proposed that they open a business together so they could "see each other 24/7."
Voilà! Bebe Zito was born.
The couple opened their first brick-and-mortar in Minneapolis in 2020, and have three locations in and around there. Bebe Zito joined 3rd Street Market Hall – its first location outside of Minnesota – toward the end of last summer.
"It's been great," Grant said. "I get to do this with my best friend every day, and make stuff that makes people happy."
Grant – who went to college at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design – has been excited to show her husband "how wonderful this city is" and her favorite places here.
While burgers are one of Bebe Zito's savory signatures, the business' stadium offerings are all about the chicken. There's the Chix'n Sammy – which Grant said she eats almost every day for lunch – the Spicy Chix'n Sammy, a Chix'n Tendie Basket, a Spicy Chix'n Tendie Basket, Chix'n Tenders; and a basket of fries.
"What's been really fun is just thinking about the opportunity of people coming to the ballpark from all over the state, all over the Midwest, and just really sharing what it is that we create with that kind of an audience," Grant said.
Bebe Zito is also one of three 3rd Street Market Hall vendors teaming up for a sweets stand, called the Can-D Shop, which is also in the Annex area.
It'll feature Bebe Zito hard-scooped ice cream in flavors like Strawberry Fields 4 Ever, Dat Malt Dough, Blackberry Butter Birthday Cake and Breakfast Club; dirty sodas, including Butter Beer, Coke Float, Dr. Strawberry and Brat; shakes and deluxe shakes; Can-D Shop self-serve candy selections; and Drip Chocolate strawberry cups including Dubai chocolate, dripped cheesecake such as s'mores and Dubai chocolate, cookie cups and more.
The Dubai chocolate trend was what sparked Drip Chocolate.
"It was just one of those things we knew we had to have and we knew we could do really well," according to co-owner Greg Kieckbusch. Kieckbusch and Tim Szuta – who also own 3rd St. Market Hall's Rod & Makk – paired up with Jada Baake for the chocolate operation.
It debuted at PrideFest Milwaukee last June, got into the area festival market, then opened at 3rd Street Market Hall in late summer, Kieckbusch said.
New J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard offerings include The Barrel Yard Sampler, which features cheese curds, mini-pretzels, chicken tenders with sweet heat seasoning, house-made chips and queso, sour cream and onion aioli and ranch; as well as a quinoa cashew salad.
Exclusive pilot brews will be available throughout the season. One of the opening weekend tap offerings will be the Grand Slamber Ale, an amber brewed in the Crew’s pilot system, featuring caramel malts for a smooth, sweet malt profile and balanced by a light grapefruit hop aroma.
Beverages bought at the Barrel Yard are allowed to be taken throughout the ballpark.
