Westmont Hilltop knocked off defending Ann Harris Smith Cup champion Central Cambria Tuesday night in double overtime for the right to play for this year’s Laurel Mountain Hockey League title.
In the semifinal, the second-seeded Hilltoppers won 2-1 as the winning score came with 2:39 left in the second overtime session.
Fourth-seeded Hollidaysburg knocked off top-seeded State College 5-3.
Westmont Hilltop (13-5-1) meets Hollidaysburg (11-7-1) in the championship game at 6 p.m. Thursday inside 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial.

The Hilltoppers’ Ethan Downey added five goals and three assists (hat trick March 3), Cullen Carlson provided one marker and four helpers and Colby Carlson netted three goals and one assist in the previous matchups. Brett Hoffman chipped in two markers in the most recent win.
Central Cambria and Westmont Hilltop split a pair of extended games in the regular season. The Hilltoppers won 5-4 Oct. 28 in overtime. The Red Devils prevailed 4-3 in a shootout Feb. 26.
During the regular season, Cullen Carlson paced Westmont Hilltop with 20 goals, 16 assists and 36 points.
Colby Carlson added 24 markers, 11 helpers and 35 points. Downey compiled 13 goals, 20 assists and 33 points. Hoffman found the back of the net 13 times. Ben Curry produced a 2.61 goals against average and .893 save percentage. Megan Harbaugh totaled a 3.56 GAA and .878 save percentage.
Cole Hartman totaled 25 goals and 20 assists for 45 points to lead Hollidaysburg in the regular season. Jayden Mentzer added 19 markers and 16 helpers for 35 points. Ty Fitzgerald chipped in 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points. Noah Breton posted a 4.39 GAA and .842 save percentage between the pipes.
Hollidaysburg went 1-2-0 against State College in the regular season, winning 4-3 and falling 10-4 and 4-1.
Central Cambria beat Forest Hills 11-5 in the 2025 league title game.
