Stansberry committed to Mizzou after reportedly visiting Columbia this weekend.

After spending one season at Pepperdine to start his collegiate career, Stansberry spent the last two seasons at Western Carolina. This past season he was a major contributor with the Catamounts — starting in 29 of 30 games and averaging 14.1 points per game. He had a season-high 29 points vs UNC Asheville on November 29th.

Against high-major competition, Stansberry recorded 23 points in WCU’s season-opener at Cincinnati on 4-9 three-point shooting — and scored seven points at Duke the following game.

Stansberry becomes the sixth overall transfer for Mizzou Basketball this offseason — joining Tennessee’s Jaylen Carey, Providence’s Jamier Jones,Kansas’ Bryson Tiller, BYU’s Kennard Davis, and South Dakota’s Jordan Crawford.
