If the Cowboys have any hope of clawing their way into the NFC's postseason bracket, it will require a Week 15 win over the visiting Minnesota Vikings. Having a full-strength roster of healthy playmakers is key, but so is making the right decisions when it comes to which players are active and who is left in street clothes.
Tight end Jake Ferguson popped up on the week's practice report with a calf injury, leaving him questionable heading into Sunday night's kickoff. Ferguson himself said late in the week he expected to be ready to go, and the pregame warmups have apparently confirmed it. Ferguson is active.
Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney looked to be good to go prior to Week 14's showdown in Detroit but ended up being held back due to a hamstring issue. He practiced in full to close out this week, though, and is available to play.
Cornerback Trevon Diggs remains on injured reserve, it was announced on Saturday, despite practicing in a limited capacity all week. His 21-day evaluation window expires on Dec. 20; the club must either elevate him back to the active roster by then or officially end his season.
Also out for Week 15 is tackle Tyler Guyton, with an ankle injury. Nate Thomas will start in his place for the third straight game.
The Vikings will also be without their starting left tackle, as Christian Darrisaw will sit once again in what has been an on-again, off-again saga after a knee injury in October.
