The USA women's hockey team is set to go for Olympic gold Thursday, Feb. 19 against its neighbors to the north.
The women's hockey team is slated to play Team Canada in the gold medal game Thursday afternoon, the final competition for a U.S. team that is currently undefeated in the 2026 Winter Olympics with a 6-0 record. One of those Team USA wins came from a 5-0 win over Canada on Feb. 10, the first shoutout for the Canadian women's hockey team in Olympic history.
Team USA is set to face off against Canada in Thursday's gold medal match for the seventh time in Olympic history, marking the latest edition of the nations' storied rivalry. The U.S. and Canada have competed against each other in all but one gold medal game since women's hockey made its Olympic debut in 1998.
