There's a reason he's the No. 1 player in the world.
If his 13 PGA Tour wins, two Masters titles, an Olympic gold medal and Tour Championship trophy weren't enough, Scottie Scheffler did something Sunday during the final round of the 2025 Texas Children's Houston Open that just shows the difference between pros and amateurs. He took driver off the deck ... from the rough.
Sure, the rough at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston is up there with the least penal on the PGA Tour, but he had to go under a tree and miss the trunk, which he narrowly did. But the ball was sitting up, somewhat mimicing a tee, and Scheffler hit a beauty.
Scheffler would go on to make birdie, moving to 13 under on his round.
