KC Concepcion got his professional career underway as the rookie wide receiver scored a touchdown during the Cleveland Browns’ preseason opener against the Chicago Bears on Saturday afternoon.
Concepcion gears up for the first year of his NFL career with the Browns. Following a great collegiate career at NC State and Texas A&M, Cleveland selected him in the first round with the 24th pick of the 2026 draft.
Cleveland looks to revamp the receiving corps, seeing Concepcion as one of potential solutions. Improving the offense is a key priority, which Cleveland has greatly struggled with in past seasons following their playoff appearance in 2023.
Concepcion gave fans a promising sign in the preseason opener. During the second quarter, he got the ball with run play as he rushed for 14 yards into the end zone for the touchdown.

KC Concepcion ended up giving the Browns their best highlight of the day, as the game ended in a 34-10 loss to the Bears.
Conception only had one rushing play that resulted in his touchdown. As for his activity in the receiving corps, he caught two passes for 27 yards.
Cleveland competed with Chicago, being even at 10 apiece by the halftime mark. However, Chicago took full control in the second half and never looked back, shutting down the visitors in the last 30 minutes of regulation.
The Browns will attempt to improve on their 5-12 record from 2025. They also intend to return to the playoffs after a two-year absence, and end their 33-season division title drought, having last won the then-AFC Central in 1989.
Cleveland will have the first two games of its 2026 campaign start on the road. They take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. ET before facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. ET.
