Rain and chilly temperatures made most of last week tough for Monroe County Region athletes.

But it didn’t stop them from turning in some outstanding performances. Now voters get to pick the Region Athlete of the Week for April 7-13.

Here are this week's candidates in alphabetical order.

Kiernan Brown, Dundee softball: Cracked three doubles during a 4-for-6 performance during a win over Brighton.

Blake Dlugosielski, Bedford boys lacrosse: Netted the 100th goal of his career during a four-goal game against Ann Arbor Huron.

Tre Eitniear, Whiteford: Collected four hits, including two home runs, and a pitching win in a sweep of Lenawee Christian and notched two hits and three strong innings on the mound against Flat Rock.

Gabby Emelian, New Boston Huron soccer: Logged three goals and an assist during an 8-0 win over SMCC.

Emily Eshenroder, Monroe soccer: Scored five goals as the Trojans beat Blissfield, Bedford and Ida by 8-0 scores.

Adam Johnson, Milan boys track and field: Won the 200 and 400 meters at the Whitmore Lake Invitational.

Reese Knox, Milan softball: Went 4-for-6 with 5 RBIs to lead the Big Reds to wins over Plymouth Christian and Whiteford.

Kaitlyn Kwiatkowski, Bedford softball: Led a nine-inning win over Woodhaven by going 4-for-5.

Aly Lewis, Monroe softball: Recorded seven hits and five RBIs during a sweep of Summerfield.

Brennan Runyon, SMCC baseball: Went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and 7 RBIs in a 10-9 win over Airport.

Jess Saylor, Whiteford boys track and field: Was part of four first-place relays to help his team win the Bobcat Legacy Relays.

Sawyer Ulery, Bedford track and field: Won the high hurdles and helped the shuttle-hurdle relay set a meet record at the Whitmer Golden W Invitational.

Emma Wehrs, Airport softball: Cracked a two-run double in the first inning and a two-run single in the seventh inning of a 9-6 win over SMCC.

Jayden Yancy, Flat Rock baseball: Struck out 12 over six shutout innings in a 2-0 win over Milan.
