With softball season in the air, players from around Las Cruces will try their best to help their teams accomplish their goals this season.

Several of them have been put into a poll to determine the best high school softball player in the city to celebrate the beginning of the new season. Nominees were taken from each coach's "players to watch" category from questionnaires sent out during the preseason.
