Not even Tyrese Haliburton's wedding could stop the Indiana Pacers star from trolling the New York Knicks.
Haliburton tied the knot with Jade Jones on August 1, and during their wedding reception, they had 50 Cent perform. During his “I Get Money” performance, which features the famous line “I Run New York” in the hook, Haliburton was seen lip-syncing the words with passion.
To Knicks fans, the line referenced more than just Haliburton singing a song, because the Pacers star has been the face of the franchise that has kept them out of the 2024 and 2025 Eastern Conference semifinals and finals. Last season, Haliburton did not play due to an Achilles injury he suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals last June. However, the Pacers star is expected to return for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones' relationship
The couple met at Iowa State University, where Haliburton was on the basketball team, and Jones was on the cheerleading squad. They began dating in 2019, and in 2025, the Pacers star proposed at Iowa State’s Hilton Coliseum. Haliburton and Jones got officially married last month in a small courthouse ceremony at the Indianapolis Marriage License Office.
Haliburton shares a wedding anniversary date with Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell, who married Grammy-winning R&B singer Coco Jones, who also got married on Saturday. Their wedding had several NBA players such as Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, Philadelphia 76ers' Jaylen Brown, and Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo.
Brunson also had a viral moment during Mitchell's wedding when Brown was taking a video of him and noticed. Towards the end of the clip, Brunson is heard calling "Josh."
As of now, since the NBA has not released the 2026-2027 schedule yet, it's unclear when these two teams will face off, but the Knicks will have some tough competition as the reigning NBA champions.
