A lot has been said about Tyrese Haliburton landing atop The Athletic's most-overrated list, in an anonymous survey of 90 players.
Rick Carlisle called it "shameful" and "bull****." Haliburton said his inclusion meant he "must be doing something right."
Bucks fans taunted Haliburton in Games 3 and 4 in Milwaukee with "OVER-RATED" chants whenever he touched the ball. And particularly enjoyed the odd airball from the Pacers point guard. But those overrated chants got awfully quiet in the second half of Game 4 when Haliburton had 17 points, 15 assists and eight rebounds in the Pacers' rout.
Haliburton went for the kill-shot in the Game 5 clincher, which didn't look like it was headed for an overtime drama after Pacers fell behind by 20. While Haliburton missed a few 3-pointers in overtime, he scored the game's final five points, including the winner with 1.3 seconds left.
He finished with 26 points, nine assists, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals as the Pacers finished off the Bucks with a 119-118 win.
After the game, Haliburton took to social media and had a two-word message for the haters:
Up next for the Pacers is a second round matchup against the top seed Cleveland Cavaliers.
