Suffice it to say Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Tyler Callihan's first MLB home run was a memorable one.
Callihan, who played in four games for the Cincinnati Reds in 2025 before suffering a broken forearm, hit a 427-foot home run out of PNC Park and into the river off of Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani in the fourth inning of the Pirates' 9-8 win.
Callihan added a three-run homer in the eighth inning, and walked twice.
Callihan suffered a broken left forearm while trying to make a catch May 5 of last season in the left-field corner of the Reds' series opener against the Braves in Atlanta.
Callihan, drafted by the Reds in the third round of the 2019 draft, was traded in March to Pittsburgh for pitcher Kyle Nicolas.
Last week, the Baltimore Orioles acquired Nicolas from the Reds for cash considerations.
