It's a good thing the Minnesota Twins had Byron Buxton in the batting lineup on Saturday night against the Cleveland Guardians.

Turns out, they didn't need to let anyone else hit.

Buxton went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and two RBI in a 2-1 win over the Guardians.

He led the game off with a homer for a 1-0 lead.

And then in the top of the 11th, he hit an RBI double to score Matt Wallner, who was the bonus runner on base in the extra frame.

Buxton is the first player in MLB history to have a night like that, according to OptaStats -- no one in baseball history had ever put together a game in which he hit a leadoff home run, had all of his team's hits and drove in all of his team's runs while also having his team actually win the game.

Tonight the @Twins' Byron Buxton:

- hit a leadoff HR
- had all of his team's hits
- drove in all of his team's runs

No other MLB player has done all of that in a victory (since RBI became official in 1920). pic.twitter.com/pYn85IEazC

Yep, the rest of the Twins' lineup went 0-for-30 aside from Buxton.

They did work three walks, but that was it aside from Buxton's production.

The Guardians' pitching staff struck out the Twins 17 times, including Buxton twice, but Cleveland's offense only managed one run on two hits against a strong pitching performance from Minnesota, too.

Buxton has always been viewed as one of the most talented players of this era, but his health has often let him down.

On this night, Buxton was all the Twins needed.
