(WFRV) – With Packers training camp just over a week away, tight end Tucker Kraft spent Sunday giving back to the next generation, leading a youth football camp at Green Bay East High School.
“I just want to make it fun. As long as everyone’s having a good time then I’m having a good time,” Kraft said. “I said it the moment I was drafted here – this is all I know is Green Bay, Wisconsin. It’s similar to where I’ve grown up. Being able to contribute and to be a part of several hundred kids days, it’s moving for me.”
As he enters his fourth season in Green Bay, Kraft is continuing to rehab the torn ACL he suffered during a Week 9 loss to the Panthers. Already established as one of the NFL’s top tight ends, he didn’t reveal much about a potential return to the field.
“We’ve had those talks with the training staff and [Brian Gutekunst]. You’ll find out when it comes out”, Tucker expressed. “They’re going to protect me because they see me as an asset for this team to win a Lombardi.”
The Packers’ first public training camp practice is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Ray Nitschke Field.
