While 32 players will hear their names during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Travis Hunter remains the most intriguing prospect heading into Thursday, April 24.

The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, two-way superstar and potential New York Giants draft target has made it abundantly clear leading up to the draft that he wants to play cornerback and wide receiver in the NFL.

Hunter spoke again recently on the topic, and response to what he would say if an NFL team made him choose an ultimatum between the two positions was somewhat unexpected.

Hunter told Garrett Podell of CBS Sports that if an NFL team wanted him to play one position, he would rather not play football at all.

"It's never playing football again," Hunter said. "Because I've been doing it my whole life, and I love being on the football field. I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it."

Hunter has met with multiple teams throughout the pre-draft process, including the Giants. Brian Daboll spoke at the annual NFL League Meeting earlier in April about how the team will evaluate Hunter in the coming weeks.

"We'll evaluate him at both spots," Daboll stated per ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

This means that if Hunter is drafted by the Giants, that leaves the door open for playing both receiver and corner. New York could use reinforcements at cornerback even after adding Paulson Adebo in free agency.

Hunter has been described as a "unicorn" given his production and ability to play at an elite level at two positions in college; The Colorado product and two-way dynamo played over 80% of Colorado’s offensive and defensive snaps in 2024.

Some draft pundits have Hunter as the first- or second-overall prospect on their big boards.

He's drawn comparisons to former Giant star Odell Beckham Jr. as a wide receiver and Hall of Famers like Charles Woodson as a defensive back.

The Giants hold the No. 3 pick in the draft.
