On Wednesday, Tom Izzo met with the media to recap the season along with the early offseason. While the press conference was loaded with some interesting comments about the players who are leaving Michigan State, he did leave the door open for one player who could still potentially come back.

While Jase Richardson announced that he is entering the NBA draft process, there is still technically a window for him to withdraw from that process if he doesn't get the feedback he's looking for. In his media session, Tom Izzo said: "I don't know if he's closed any door."

Izzo also noted that he himself told Richardson to put his name in the NBA draft process, and that, "If he goes anywhere near where he thinks he's gonna go, I'm packing the suitcase. And I think it's great. And once he interviews, he's gonna move up."

I think what it comes down to is if Jase Richardson gets the feedback that he will both be a lottery pick and have the opportunity to play real NBA minutes next year. I could see a situation where, if teams tell him they'd like him to play in the G-League next year and develop, he might still opt to come back to East Lansing for a season and continue his development under Izzo.
